For my tattoo project, I decided to go with the first option. I chose the animal to represent me as a deer fawn, and the object as a clock. It didn’t take that long to come up with this idea because I’ve already thought of these kinds of things before, like if I was an animal or object what would represent me. I like my idea, but it was very difficult to create the actual piece. I personally do not like Illustrator, but I can see how with more practice it could be useful for this style of drawing. It took a while to get used to how Illustrator works since I’m much more used to Photoshop. I like that for the project, there are two options to help guide someone who has no idea what to make, but if you have a tattoo idea that doesn’t relate to the two options, it’s still okay to do those. I personally wouldn’t have much of an idea of what to make if I didn’t have a prompt like that. I did generally feel engaged during the project, but mostly because I had to really pay attention to figure out Illustrator. The process of making this project was very frustrating but I think it was worth it in the end since it did turn out pretty nice. At least now I know what programs I like and which ones I don’t. I think another cool project involving Illustrator could be a graffiti project, but that’s mostly because I’m into graffiti and street art. The tools would be really cool to use to make interesting and organic lettering, and with the fill options it would be easy to make gradients and spray paint-like styles. Looking into graffiti lettering and trying to spell out your name in it while getting all the letters to flow and work together is very fun in my option, but I still think this project is pretty cool too.
