The Lion and the Lamb
These paintings and ceramic sculptures are a retrospective contemplation of my experience with sexual assault. It’s something that I had replayed and analyzed at every angle. I found my mind repeating a phrase from the Bible: “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Humanity with a kiss?” This led to my representation of the violator and the violated. The lion - proud, egotistical, narcissistic - being so pathetic and cowardly as to prey on the lamb - naive and innocent
