Take a Piece of Me With You

Take a Piece of Me With You was an interactive installation exhibited at the ReBootleg Soiree hosted by Springville Center for the Arts in Springville NY. A painting of multiple overlapping and abstracted self portraits on fabric was hung in an abandoned furniture store in town, with a video of myself staring blankly projected on top. Viewers were welcome to cut out a piece of the painting with a pair of scissors provided beside it. As the night went on, more and more was cut away, until just scraps of fabric were left, with the video coldly projected on the wall behind where the painting once was.
